What is "5th ailment?" Fifth ailment is a moderate rash sickness that happens so much customarily in youngsters. The unwell youngster as a rule has a "slapped-cheek" rash at the face and a lacy crimson rash at the trunk and limbs. Occasionally, the rash would possibly itch. An unwell youngster will have a low-grade fever, malaise, or a "bloodless" a couple of days earlier than the rash breaks out. The youngster is in most cases now not very unwell, and the rash resolves in 7 to ten days. What factors 5th ailment? Fifth ailment is brought about via illness with human parvovirus B19. This virus infects handiest folks. Pet puppies or cats is also immunized in opposition to "parvovirus," however those are animal parvoviruses that don't infect folks. Therefore, a youngster are not able to "seize" parvovirus from a puppy puppy or cat, and a puppy cat or puppy are not able to seize human parvovirus B19 from an unwell youngster.

You can google fifth's disease and read more about it. Is your cousin a child or an adult. In any case, the symptoms (rash and joint pain) should be done with in about one to two weeks.

I sure hope your cousin recovers fully. My granddaughter had it, but a very mild case. She only had the flu symptoms and a little rash on her face. I had never heard of it before she had it! Strange name for a disease, isn't it!

I had it as a baby and have no recollection of it. Except for the redness all over my body and the constant body aches I have, I feel pretty good.....kidding, I did have it and it was pretty uneventful.
