Xtor's Generic name is ATORVASTATIN.
Xtor is lowering the LDL in the Blood.
Atorvastatin is also indicated for the reduction of risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension without clinically evident coronary heart disease but with other risk factors such as age ≥55 years, retinopathy, albuminuria or smoking.
Control of serum lipids reduces the risk of cardiovascular events which are the main casue of the morbidity and mortality in Diabetes (DM) and BP. Diabetics over age 30 are considered to be at very high risk for coronary artery disease(CAD). Thearpy includes STATINS for elevated LDL-C.
You can Lower the LDL by Drug like Statin and/or Diet.
Eat foods low in saturated fat
Eat foods high in soluble fiber
Limit foods high in cholesterol
Limit foods high in saturated fat

i have bloodpressure 150/110.Then doctor prescribed me Telista AM and Xtor 10
