Why do you think eating meat is wrong? If you feel guilty eating it, then to you it is wrong. If you just think it is disgusting, then it is wrong. It is your opinion, and it's not the choice everybody else. I for one am a vegetarian and soon to be vegan. And no, I am not a member of PETA...But I personally think it is wrong. If you still don't know, look up the pros and cons of vegetarianism and decide for yourself.

It depends on the person and their up-bringing on this matter. I was a meat-eater almost all my life but 2 years ago I did my research and found that I, as a human, am participating in the death of an innocent animal just to feed my appetite.
Personally, I think its wrong because people are raising an animal whom they feed and take care of for a couple of years then all of that is over. As they end-up killing it for its meat and selling it to us. I mean, is life that cheap?..
Although, in my religion its allowed to eat meat (Halal) and it isn't considered a bad thing, I still don't agree with it. Not only is it cruel but its extremely harmful, to us and the environment. Almost everyone I know thinks its impossible to live without meat.
Not every chicken breast is full and healthy looking nor is every piece of meat made to perfection. I advise people to look twice before they eat something that might put their life at risk.

It is not wrong to eat meat if you think it is not wrong to eat vegetables. Both are lives, you see. But if you worry about the cruel treatment the animals receive, you should take organically groomed animals which are treated well. Moreover, you need the protein. Meat is much richer in protein than plants. So if you want to get x amount of protein, 1 chicken will be enough but you would need much more plants for the same x amount of protein. So, technically, you are killing more if you depend on plants for protein.

Eating meat is a personal choice. I'm a personal chef and I feed not only meat eaters but vegetarians and vegans alike. Not all of my vegan clients are vegan because of ethical concerns, some simply do not like the taste of meat, others have dairy issues. Not consuming meat does place you at risk for dietary related health concerns, but most can be avoided if you do your research and suppliment the loss of proteins, fats and amino acids with vitamins and other dietary suppliments.
Nuts and soy will provide protein sources, olive oil is a nutritionally more sound a choice than vegetable or nut sourced oils for cooking.
My concern would not be so much for your moral "health" as it would be for your physical health. Doing your research and making wise choices will keep you a healthy AND happy vegan.

Don't depend on others to make moral decisions for you.
For me, it's a question of whether or not suffering in non-human animals is wrong, and I've decided yes. It's a personal choice. I seek to decrease suffering on this earth. I've also lowered my cholesterol a lot and gained energy, but that's not the topic, so I digress.
Many people tell me that eating meat is alright and that I should start again. I know what my body and morals tell me, so I respectfully disagree.
It's up to you, hon.

eating red meat is NOT wrong. it is a way of life, it's the law of the jungle. red meat eaters go way back to prehistoric days. do you think Fred Flintstone was a vegan??? the cavemen lived on red meat. being a vegan is a choice, we are all carnivores by birth. if you think eating red meat is wrong then that is your own personal opinion, i am NOT breaking any ethical code, rule or law by eating a nice juicy steak or pork chop. but i do eat alot of veggies and seafood though, but meat is my number one staple.

it is a personal choice. You are just going to have to agree to disagree on the subject of eating meat with some people.

yes in my mind eating meat is wrong. your causing animals pain just so you can eat something you like. especially when there is alternitives you cant say its something you cant live without when there are loads of vegeterian options out there. If you think eating meat is wrong don't let anyone tell you its not. It's your choice not other peoples.

It might be wrong. But until I get get grilled chicken that tastes like real griller chicken, but made with soya or some other veg source, I am not giving up on meat.

Also, from a medical point of view moderate amounts of meat are good for you because, they are a rich source for protein, iron, and B vitamins.
