You should definitely get this checked out. You shouldn't have chest pains ever. having the pain is a sign of something.

Yes, this is something that should be checked out as soon as possible. Any kind of strain on the heart such as heavy lifting, heavy carrying, etc. that causes pain needs to be investigated. It could be something as simple as angina, or it could be something more complicated. Have it checked out right away.

As a nurse, I would say this is not uncommon. It could be down to a number of reasons ranging from stress to cardiac problems or bp etc. You should always get this assessed. If you don't want to go to your GP just yet, try NHS direct on 0845 46 47
they'll tell you how quickly this needs checking out.

This could be due to insufficient blood supply in that region. On e of the reasons for the pain in the arm and chest is due to this. This type of pain is called anginal pain(ANGINA).This may also be due to compression of a nerve by the neck vertebra(spondilosis).

It might be something as simple as a pulled muscle, or pressure on your rib-cage muscles that's causing the pain, or something as series as angina or pv. Take care of it dear, and keep us informed.
