Cheese is high in protein which contibutes to loss of bone density because it is an acidic food, and the body will take the calcium from the cheese to neutalize this effect, so not so much calcium is absorbed into your system. Leafy green veggies with sunflower/sesame seeds etc are better sources of calcium. Plus a calcium supplement with magnesium combination, bones need both.

Cheese is a kind of protein... It is good to add cheese to your diet, although, try to eat light cheese (the lighter the colour of the cheese, the better). A good diet is the one that you eat everything, but in small amounts....

Yes, but as with any other food, in moderation, especially as most cheeses are quite fat. One of the healthiest cheeses is white feta, but only if its not too salty. Perfect combined with fresh tomatoes and olive oil.

Yes and no. It is a good source of calcium and protein, but also a lot of cheese is loaded with fat and salt. Look for low fat and salt varieties, and remember moderation in all things and variety is the spice of life

Depends on what type and how much of it you eat. If you eat cheese all day long every day it will not show any benefit. You may get high cholesterol from that. Everything in moderation.

There are very few, if any, products which contain as many nutrients, in both quantity and variety, as dairy. As you know, it was made for calves, as all milk is made for the young of the respective species, and they have to drink nothing but it for the first period of their life, so it is packed full of everything they will need for life in that time. As such it contains huge amounts of nutrients, many of them essential and all of them useful, per pound.
That it contains fat means nothing. So many foods contain fat, and even ones which don't can cause fat to be created by your body (and unused carbohydrates are stored as fat). As long as you don't eat too much fat and exercise you don't have to worry about things like that at all.
Neither does it contribute to cholesterol, really. Your body on average creates four to five times more cholesterol than the average person consumes, and compensates by creating more when less is consumed. Cholesterol isn't evil, it is essential; it makes up the waterproof linings of all our cells and without it we would die. Too much can be bad, but as with saturated fats there are more healthy ways of disposing of it, like regular exercise. Anyway, it isn't so much how much cholesterol you eat, but how well your body handles it, that contributes to heart problems. A person who eats loads of dietary cholesterol and leads an unhealthy lifestyle can still have low cholesterol, and vice versa. Most people's bodies are able to take a large amount of cholesterol without getting atherosclerosis. For this reason that eating meat gives you heart disease is very misleading, and for the most part untrue. Of course, if you do have a problem eating loads isn't a good idea, but for most people there is nothing at all to worry about.

Neither does it affect your immune system, that really is rubbish and the only time I've ever seen that said is on PETA and affiliates, and they're propagandists pure and simple. I've never found any substantial evidence to back that claim up.

oh yes! cheese is very good for you if taken in moderation.
it is a very good source of calcium and protien. specially if you are lactose intolerant and can't take other dairy procuts, cheese will compensate for that.
infact as kids whenever we had daireah my dad would give us a piece of kraft cheese to nibble on and for some reason it used to help.

Let me put it this way: There are worse things you can do to yourself, and you will not collapse for lack of cheese. It's just nic. And actually, you CAN overdo it, and cheese is a tough one on your immune system. If you have allergies, they will get worse when you eat a lot of cheese.

cheese in moderation is good for you as it has essential calcium and animal fats in them that we all need, but over indulge and it turns into a bad thing.
The only healthy way to look at food, is everything in moderation. a little bit of what you like is good, restricting yourself only creates and unhealthy view and turns into a viscious circle.
