It wasent a yeast infection I had it was scabies.....(a kind person told me it sounded as if I had a yeast infection) thats what I thought I had untill I noticed little spots on my u no what.... So I went in to the doc and it was those irrataing parasites!! I was wondering, is scabies an std??? That was my qeustion..... nite all......

It's not an STD. It's a microscopic parasitic mite that is transferred through prolonged skin to skin contact. So while it's likely you caught it while having sex since it sounds like that's where you got it. It isn't limited to infesting sexual areas only.

You can also catch them by sharing towels, clothing, bedding etc.

Scabies is usually caused by a parasite. When inflicted with it. Follow your doctors instructions with regards to the medications. Aside from that , you should change your bedcover, linens and wash them with lukewarm water. It is advisable that you also use the drier. In summer months, it is important that you hung your clothes directly under the sun so that the organism will die. Iron your clothes & include underwears. It is usually common with households in the family. It is not sexually transmitted. Sharing of linens can be the source of transfer to family members.

scabies is not a STD
it can be transfered by just hand to hand contact
exchanging clothes or beds towels
