Tobasco.

Fresh wasabi, by all means. While Tabasco is more versatile, the quick piquant bite of the wasabi brings out the flavor without overpowering the subtle sweetness with vinegar.

Two thumbs up!

It depends on what you're eating, however I have a special fondness for wasabi..probably because of the first time I ever came across a wad of it & thought it was avocado. I shoved that entire wad into my mouth & swallowed. Before I knew what was happening my eyes & nose were streaming, & my mouth was on fire.

A tablespoon of wasabi added to your beef roast gravy is something special!

All that said, I'm living in Mexico right now so Tabasco now has a whole new importance to my diet.

Wasabi (especially the fresh grounded wasabi as other has mentioned). Wasabi is perfect for sushi or sashimi.
I do not like tabasco, I put black pepper on pizza or speghetti, if I want something hot, I will add fresh chili or chili oil on my food.

Bloody Mary Recipe

1 1/2 oz Hangar One Wasabi Vodka
3 ea Drops tabasco sauce, optional
3 oz Tomato juice
1/2 Lemon, juiced
Salt & Pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Recipe courtesy of Lou, at the distillery tasting room. Depending on how hot you like things, you may want to omit the tabasco sauce; the Wasabi is quite hot on its own.
I've been working on Wasabi also - working with the St. George Spirits and discovered this recipe:
1.5 oz Hangar One Mandarin Blossom
1/4 tsp Aqua Perfecta raspberry liqueur
1/4 tsp Hangar One Wasabi
on ice
No name yet....
Try this one:

Hell Hath No Fury-tini

3 oz Hangar One Wasabi
3 drops Tabasco
1/2 Lemon, juiced
Cerrano Pepper Floater
Salt, pepper, paprika rim

Wait for it--yeah, that's your ears popping.

It definitely depends on what kind of food you are eating. Tabasco for tacos and things like that. I just tried wasabi the other day at a chinese buffet though....and I was surprised. I LOVED it!

Tabasco is the worst hot liquid on earth. If you want a hot chile why not habanero or chile arbol, etc.?
Wasabi is great mixed with soy sauce and is eaten with a completely different type of food.

If you are talking about the hottest I like wasabi because you cannot just be a beginner and try it. You have to be use to it!

It depends. I prefer putting tabasco on my pizza and tacos but when it comes to japanese food, I prefer wasabi because it works best with fresh sushi and sashimi. They both are hot and spicy but it still depends on where you want to put 'em. =)

It depends on what you are eating. It also depends on how you are asking this question. If you are comparing them I'd go with wasabi sauce since it is not too hot. I am not able to eat really hot stuff, only mild sauces.
