My mom use to make round steak in cream of mushroom sauce, put it in casserole dish and bake. Very easy and good, goes good with any potatoes, as the sauce makes a kind of gravy.

I'd say this is it. Kind of like a modified swiss steak if you use chuck steak cut thick.
one beef pot roast of your choice
1 box, (2 envelopes) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
baby carrots
new potatoes
2 cups water
PREPARATION:
Place beef pot roast in crockpot and sprinkle with Lipton onion soup mix. Add carrots and new potatoes. Pour water over pot roast. Cook on low 8-10 hrs or until tender. Thicken the gravy with a little four or cornstarch. If you are really on the ball, when you put the roast on, put a batch of bread in the bread maker and set the timer so they will be finished at the same time. When you get home, all you need to do is fix a salad

I take a steak that is a little tougher cut & place on a good size piece of foil. Over that, I sprinkle 1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix, 1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom w/garlic, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, a pat of butter, salt & pepper. Add a splash of worchester sauce, fold over & bake @ 350 til meat is done.....Yummy & use the sauce for gravy over homemade mashed potatoes!!

This was a staple at our house. It made a cheap tough cut of meat tender.

1 Round steak, sprinkle with one package of Lipton onion soup mix. wrap in tin foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

My mom served it with baked potatoes, slaw and biscuts.

To this day my brother shudders when we bring up this recipe, but my husband and kids love it!

My mom would buy a cheap cut (inexpensive cut) of beef, sprinkle an envelope of onion soup mix, one can of cream of mushroom soup, quarter potatoes, big chunks of carrots and celery.

I still make this for my family, but I throw everything in the crock pot and cook all day on low. Perfect.

With me, if you go to snucks and ask for Sirlon Steak they give it to you. You put seasoning salt, garlic powder, pepper, Accent, and what ever other ingriedient you like. Then its optional to fry it or bake it. I like it both ways. Then you top it with oinion.

Good luck with dinner.
