I recently got a std test. I tested positive for Herpes 1. Last time I had a cold sore was over 25 years ago. I have not had any other type of outbreaks on my body.
Is it possible that I am still contagious to others?
Is this something that I should let sexual partners know about?

If you have herpes you have it for the rest of your life, it is a virus.
Herpes is passed from skin to skin contact. The virus is present in the sores. The virus can be transmitted when a sore comes into contact with a mucous membrane--genitals, mouth and/or eyes. When sores are present people should abstain and not allow their sores to touch their partners at any location, the virus is easily spread when sores are present. When sores are not present it is still possible to pass the virus, but the risk is very low, this is why partners should always practice safer sex by using condoms with every intercourse.
I'm unclear by what you said. The only way to test for herpes is when sores are present. those sores are cultured. So, how did you get diagnosed with herpes if you did not have any sores? Also, herpes type 1 and herpes type 2 can be located in either the genitals or the mouth and vice versa, so where do you have herpes? You should talk with your health care provider to clarify and ask questions.
If you do indeed have genital herpes you should abstain when you have sores, wear condoms with all intercourse and tell all your partners prior to becoming intimate. If you have oral herpes you should not preform oral sex on someone when you have oral sores, you can give someone genital herpes this way.

All herpes are contagious, but it is still the luck of the draw. Some come in contact but don't get it while others do. It would be the right and fair thing to do to let your partners know.
