I would like to order some treats like this for the holidays. Is there a place to get them cheaper? I guess I am looking for a store that does a lot of import desserts and candies.

Do you have a Trader Vic's or Cracker Barrel where you are? They usually have wonderful / unique items around Christmas.

Probably there are lots of places to get what they have cheaper. I did a cost analysis of a number of items from Vermont Company store for a review I was writing and in many cases, they are marking items up as much as 500%.

Granted, some of the things they carry just can't be found anywhere else so just do some research so you don't spend more than you have to.

I think the Vermont Country Store has a lot of stuff that you won't find anywhere else, they're pretty unique. There are a lot of candy and dessert retailers online though just Google'em up.

If you google, you find other places, but the Vermont Country Store is fairly priced. Try Figis, Swiss Colony, or Hickory Farms.

Yes, I'm famular & I live in TX. They are pricey! Try http://www.sweetcity.com or http://www.bettyjanecandies.com. In Houston (where I'm from) there is a Spec's liquor store, they have choc to die for. It is all imported & very reasonable. Here's the phone # (800) 381-7050
