I have been rimming this girl for the last two weeks. Our relationship hasn't turned into sex yet but she is really into S and M. She likes it when I rim her. Yes. There are a few infections you can get from rimming, often not considered to be STDs, but hey if you got it during a sex act, that makes it SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED.
The first to consider is hepatitis A. As an adult, hep A will really mess you up. not fun, but vaccine preventable.
Another is Shigella. We see this infection a lot in men who have sex with men, because that often involves rimming. You can get it from women, too, if you're rimming. It is highly contagious.
Then there are plenty of other fecal-oral infections like Salmonella, E. coli, Campylobacter, norovirus, and a couple of odd parasites.
So if you want to protect yourself, you can still rim her, but lube her rear and cover her anus with a piece of plastic wrap.

in answer to your question yes, std and sti can be transferred via saliva, though it is a very slim chance and requires copious amounts of saliva to transfer stds such as HIV. there has only been one documented case of HIV transference via kissing, though this subject was exposed to blood in the mouth. As for other stds and sti, even though the chance is slim, there is always a chance. So communication with your partner, and regular blood tests and protected sexual practices are really the only way to minimize the exposure, though not guarantee the transference of them. If unsure, go see your gp or local clinic, they will be able to provide you with further information

Yes, if she has one. Good for both of you to get tested before you start a relationship, guess it is a bit late now. You can also get some nasty ones from the anus if it is not cleaned properly. See link.

there are tons of germs in the colon that are not good to injest if you must preform rimming use a female comdom to cover the anus

Yes! You really shouldn't be doing that without a condom in between b/c it is soooo dirty in that area. You are licking where all the bacteria from her bowels comes out! Please see a doc and use something next time!
