This is similar to my question of yesterday on 'snoopers' being able to enter your home to evaluate it and it's surroundings for tax purposes. A pilot scheme is going to be run in Northern Ireland (but not in IRA areas you can bet!).After you smile at all the silly answers that have been given to this question just remember these are the tactics of police states where control of your life by the state starts with small erosions of your liberties. There will be no march on Downing Street because most people are unaware of these proposals and the rest don't care. The political opposition parties so far have done nothing to oppose these schemes they are probably happy for the Labour Party to take the flak but will be happy to have the tax revenue.

Yes, you are right. The situation is getting out of control and beyond a joke. The problem is there are a lot of stupid people who say 'if you haven't got anything to hide ,you have nothing to fear'. Absolute bollocks !Would you tell us how much you have in the bank ,and what your blood group is? In the old Soviet Union the KGB used to rummage amongst the ordinary people's rubbish to look for signs of dissent . Surprise, our poxy government is doing the same. Anybody with any sense must see we just cannot let these control freaks ruin our lives. And , it is no use whatsoever writing to your MP. They are all tarred with the same brush. One more thing:This site, like everything else is monitored by GCHQ. Presumably lefang means referring , not relating. Education !

Just another example of the slowly slowly approach by New Labour of their pseudo commi police state.

The first suspect after every burglary will, [once the government nosers have started demanding to see what we have around us] be a public/government employee - rent more cruise ships for prisons!

If you don't like the way the country is going - [and there is evidence that more citizens than those who voted this lot in don't] then get down to the ballot box every time there is an election and vote for the person next likely to 'get in' to keep bully new labour boys out and bring an end to the developing police state and downward slope they have put our once great country on.

Count me in!!!
"Householders are already angry at the fact that camera-wielding tax inspectors can barge inside their family homes to record the number of bedrooms, size of their garage and their conservatory. I suspect that people will be further shocked to discover that this private information would then be published on the internet for anyone to see and sold to junk mailers.

"This is a snoopers' charter, and runs the risk of being an instruction manual for would-be burglars. Day by day under this Labour Government, the rights and liberties of law-abiding citizens are being steadily eroded."
Surely we are not going to let this sort of thing happen.......are we????????????? iF YOUR GARDEN IS 100FT LONG,THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THAT AS WELL. Apparently they are taking ariel photographs of our homes!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Sheep..thats all we resemble..sheep.We talk a good fight,as in the poll tax riots, the brixton-toxteth,and tottenham riots, but we always fold in the end.No amount of MARCHING will detract the westminster suits-of any political party-from their blinkered role in life...to make as much money as they can out of us before retiring, and writing a memoir of the good service they have done, and the affair's they have had,in the name of democracy, and sod the people. They lead,we follow, simple as.This is as good as it gets, but we must thank our lucky stars we are not living in somewhere like north korea though!!

Why not march down to Argos instead & buy a decent SAFE for all your important documents. If you're gonna leave all your bills under the bed, then of course someone's gonna find them!!! ID theft is (partly) your fault!!!
