what do you mean by an idiomatic expression " make it you oyster"?

an oyster "swallows" a bit of grit, over time this grit becomes a pearl. you are the grit, your life is the oyster shell, so reguardless of what trials/tribulations you go thru , deal with them,dont run but take control and make it yours- own it, and you will eventually survive them for the better and become a pearl . its a way of saying something like " what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger"
