In-law relationships are different than any other relationship because the way you treat them will affect your relationship to your mate.
THEREFORE, in the interest of a happy marriage, listen respectfully to her, thank her for wanting the best for you and your spouse, and tell her what a good mother-in-law she is.
THEN go rinse all the crap out of your mouth and go on with your life.

THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO BE SILENT WHEN U R M.I.L IS ANGRY WITH U. DON'T THINK SHE WILL BE HAPPY AFTER SHE SCOLDS U , INSIDE HER HEART SHE WILL BE CRYING . ONCE UPON A TIME SHE WAS ALSO A D.I.L AND FACED SO MANY PROBLEMS THAT'S WHY SHE IS SUCCESSFUL AS A WOMAN WITH HER HUSBAND.
WHAT SHE IS TELLING U , U DO IT NOTHING WRONG. IF THERE IS SOME MISTAKE SHE WILL REPENT FOR IT , NOT U.

IN THAT WAY U R NAME WILL SHINE IN U R HOUSE AS WELL AS , IN U R SURROUNDING.

You might want to get the book: The Borderline Mother. It sounds as if she might have a personality disorder. It also sounds as if she likes "provoking" you. I think you'll need to verbally set some limits with her and start re-directing some of her negativity. For instance if she criticizes your opinion on something, you might want to say: "we can agree to disagree" or something like that. You might also want to start limiting your contact with her. Remember, you can't change her. You can only change your reactions to her. Stand your ground and don't try to placate her. If she senses weakness, then she'll continue to go in for the "kill" with you...

Perhaps elaborating on one or two events helps us to understand the situation better. Well, some people seem to be so difficult to please but it is the underlying element that really matters - is it frustration/ jealousy/ possessiveness of her son and home/ need for perfection/ not being able to adjust to addition to the family? We need to find remedies to that.

If lady, then keep Patience, and think about your mother also, when she was angree on your habits/homework,at that time how you manage/or tackle the entire situation.
If gents, then move from her house, (if you are a GHAR JAMAI)

Accept her all orders. Show her that you have much regards to her and you take care too. Take her blessing on everything you wanted to do tactically. Basically you should become her favourate to win her. Dont be different to her.Best of luck!
