Clean the area tenderly and apply a glob of toothpaste and this will help to dry up an already developed pimple.

Yes, it depends on the toothpaste.
Not gel toothpaste, it must contain baking soda, and no fluoride.
Fluoride toothpaste has been known to cause breakouts.

The best method is the use of baking soda and water. Make a paste and apply that to your acne before going to bed.
This works excellent, your acne or pimple will vanish by the next day. I've used this method many of times. IT WORKS BETTER THAN TOOTHPASTE.

It only provides temporary relief and consistant use will lead to skin irritation. Rather take a fresh leaf of aloe vera and smear the gel inside onto your face nightly. It's not very pleasant and can feel sticky, but the results are fantastic and you're using something natural. Aloe vera is from the cactus family.

If it did,
I can assure you that the toothpaste companies
would advertise the extra benefit and add about
30 bucks to each tube!

So, it's doubtful.

It reduces redness a bit and dries out the spot. It's not a proper cure though, more an emergency quick fix to help before a night out or something.

no! a friend told me that the reason why we sometimes get pimples under the lip area or on the chin area is because when toothpaste is not properly washed from these areas.

I head that one and tried it too when I was a teen. I didn't really see any results. I'd say its best to stick to the traditional methods and if things aren't working see your doctor, I wish I had sooner when I started to break out bad.

Yes it does!!

But only the white opaque ones, and not the gel transparents.

It helps to dry out the pimples faster so that they will go away quicker.

:-)
