Lots of reasons
But the most common one is called 'thinking too much'
People tend to concentrate on the problem itself and then get hyper and nervous about it, rather than concentrating on how to solve it, so when they keep doing this over and over, they lose balance of the way they think and they go for a shortcut which seems like a solution in itself: jump off a building.
other main reason: humans are social creatures, those who committ suicide are people who lack understanding and care from those around them. and since nobody teaches them alternative routes to solve a situation they lose their wanting to live and commit suicide.

Most people who commit suicide are sick; they have a chemical imbalance that causes them to be depressed, and feel hopeless or anxious...far worse than normal depression or anxiety. The emotional pain these people live with is far worse than any physical pain you can imagine. These feelings are not controlable, and no amount of trying to think positive thoughts will help. Even the most supportive families can have someone with major depression commit suicide, and these family members need to know that there was nothing they could do to prevent the suicide. It was not their fault, any more than it would have been their fault if the person had died of a heart attack. There are medications available that do help in most instances. What I am saying is that death by suicide is really no different than death by any other chronic medical disease, like diabetes, or heart disease. The feelings that a suicidal person has are overwhelming, and they can't be willed away, or even prayed away, any more than we can will or pray cancer away. It has nothing to do with a person's lack of faith in God. As a matter of fact, they might, in choosing suicide, be throwing themselves on God's mercy, because a person of faith would know that God understands, and may have convinced themselves that a loving God wouldn't want them to keep suffering so much. What is important is that we get a suicidal person medical attention and give them lots of support, not condemnation. Let them know how much you love them. My grandmother committed suicide after many, many years of suffering before medications were available that really worked, and my daughter attempted suicide 3 times before we found the right medictions. Now she is doing very, very well. There is evidence that depression has a hereditary component. I hope this helps.

Are you sure the people who jumped off those bridges or ate those gun barrels knew God doesn't give people more than they can handle?
Because it is just a saying. All it means is, as bad as things get, it will pass and be less intense over time. Life can easily overload someone, and there is no God maintaining control with any pressure valve.
It's up to us to decide whether or not we will handle it.

We were never meant to deal with life alone. God will help us through the hard times if we let Him, He will never force Himself upon us. Those who commit suicide do so because they have neglected their faith in God. and thus have forgotten that in God all things are possible. Therefor God never gives us more than we can handle. i have seen people go through horrific times in their lives and they have turned to God and have come thruough so much stronger than they were before. SO when things get heavy turn to Him and listen with your heart. if he tells you to change something in your life, then it is for your own good. SO if you ask Him to help, then let Him help.

A lot of times people that commit suicide have used drugs( illegal ) and it depletes the brain of a chemical perhaps more than one , or damages the production of them and people get off balance and oft themselves, because their reasoning ability is gone, all their judgments become tainted and they become paranoid.

Because we are human and we give in to sin. What better way for satan to take a creation of God away from Him that to kill it? Look at how many people on the planet everyday die, either from war, starvation, accidents and even suicide. If you are never taught to put your faith and trust in God, then you are going to stumble and fall. However, if you know that it is the devil that is causing the trouble and God is the one that has faith in you to ask for His help, then you will be sucessful. We all make mistakes but we have a creator that loves and cares about us. Look to Psalms, Proverbs and even Job to see how God allows trouble to come our way in order to bring glory and honor on Him.

A dumb person won't commit suicide that often, mostly those who commit suicide are intellectuals that can't handle the pressure of every day life, and also those who have no faith in God, cause if you are a true believer you won't end up thinking how to end your own life but how to make it much more better for yourself but also for your fellowman.

Those who commit suicide don't learn the teachings of the Messengers of the One True God about their own strength and don't rely on God's protection as He promises.

I don't think your premise is right. What the Bible says is: 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it." The problem is that this only applies to Christians to begin with and secondly even Christians fail in this because they don't take the way of escape that God provides for them. That way of escape is Jesus Christ and His delieverance. When we try to overcome in our own strength it is overwhelming.
