It all depends on the traits the dog has picked up from the parents, is he more shihtzu or more jack russel?
shih tzus do very in size usually get to arround 9 to 10½ inches (measured from the withers) and 9 to 16lbs
The jack russell has a size range from 10-15 inches at the withers and 13 - 17 lbs.
Hope thats helped

Think of an averaged sized shihtzu and an average sized jack russell. Then imagine something the size of the average between those two - that'd be about it. The size can be determined to some extent by the size of the paws (the bigger they are, the bigger it'll be). As for when it'll stop growing, that should again be the average between when a shihtzu stops growing and when a jack russell stops growing - all very scientific and logical really

I bet he is cute shihtzu are really pretty dogs and jack russells are little characters, I dont think he will grow to be too big, you can usually tell by their feet size. Just love him and wait and see.

It'll stay small. Fluffy and snappy - watch your ankles!
Best way to guess how big a cross-bred puppy will become is to look at their paws. I fit's got large paws then the chances are it's going to be a BIG dog!

Look at the size of his paws the bigger the paws the bigger the dog will be. He should grow between 12ins and 14ins high.
