I want to invent a new letter for the alphabet. I think a 26th letter would be a good idea i have alreadu come up with a design for what it would look like and am still working on how it will be pronounced and what words it could be used in. Does anyone think i have a chance of introducing it into the alphabet?

PERHAPS YOU SHOULD DO A RECOUNT OF THE LETTERS IN THE ALPHABET!!! there are already 26..

and your chances would be greatly enhanced if you gave your yahoo freinds a foggy idea of what the letter sounds like and what it loooks like and how on earth it could be integrated into the English language??

There are 26 letters of the alphabet

j, k, q, x, y, z are all rare, and with the exception of q and z, they are not part of the Italian alphabet

Some Roman emperer, I beleive, added three more letters but there were hardly any success. If such a powerful person cannot do this no one can.

Try z for the 26th letter, it would be good to use in words like Zebra, Zero ETC, in fact it would have loads os uses :)

No, I really don't think you do. The reason I'm skeptical is that I see a lot of people that are trying to use fewer letters as it is. You've seen this before, I'm sure:

How r u? Y not?

Since we have problem with these letters already i think it is not possible. Do not be discouraged because there was a guy who tried this before and people didn't accept it.
