I seem to be able to do it quite easily.

But I'm not sure how....something to do with not exercising enough.

Hello my friend,

I have not totally understood what you meant to ask but lemme try to answer the same in two ways i understand your question as:

First what is fat?

A complex form of sugars is called fat. To be simple let us understand it this way. Everyone here knows glucose is the simplest form of sugar that directly gives energy. Now let us go one step further, the complex form of glucose is known as Carbohydrates, and we know it is important to the body, but too much of carbohydrates is not required by the body, so our body is clever enough not to waste the carbohydrates that have come into the body, so al it does is uses as much of carbs the body needs and the leftover carbs is stored between the muscle and skin as fat, to be used in case the body runs out of carbs, for example if we don't get proper food for a few days. Fat also helps as an insulator in Cold winters as it forms a protective layer between the skin and muscle and keeps the warmth in the body.

Now, hope by this you know how we can form fats in the body if you want, eat high carb diet asnd work less ;)
Not the safest ways is it???? :)

If you want to prepare fat in the lab, my friend if you know the chemical combination of fat, you could do it by extracting carbs and starch even from a potato.

Hope this answer suffices you atleast a bit.

All the best.

I guess what you want to know is whether we can get fat by our habit.

If so, then the answer is YES, but not in all cases.

To be fat you need 2 things:-
1. Genetic predisposition
2. Enviornmental factors

Genetic predisposition is one which is passed from parents to children (That's why you see that most members in a fat family are fat).

Enviornmental factors : are triggers which are needed to all the genetic factors to manifest. If one maintains poor lifestyle, and risky behaviour such as not exercising, eating a lot, etc then IF ONE IS GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED, he / she will become FAT. If he is not predisposed genetically, then he will not become fat.
On the contrary, if one maintains a good lifestyle, with regular exercise, healthy diet, then EVEN IF he / she is genetically predisposed and will be fat BUT HE WILL LIVE LONGER.

Hope i am able to clear my point.
