Making pumpkin pie for the 1st time, reviewing the recipe it does not mention the pumpkin seeds, should I cook them or remove them>

I agree, you should strain the pulp and remove it, but you might check this month's Martha Stewart Living for a pumpkin pie recipe that is topped with candied pompkin seeds. I only happened to notice it because I got bored in the grocery line! But it sounds unusual and tasty.
