Yes, I agree that we should always be polite and respect other people in all situations - it's what separates us from the animals! We wouldn't have 'polite society' if at least some people didn't try to do this most of the time.

I agree.
If people respected each other we'd have fewer problems in society.
I respect everyone to some degree. I may respect them because they deserve it or only for the simple fact that they're human. Respect for the 'human' is less than for family or friends, but it's still respect.
I have to disagree with Smashinwater when she says no because of their 'thoughts'. Everyone has a right to have their own thoughts without our having to disrespect them for it. You can still respect the 'human' without agreeing with their 'thoughts'.

I disagree !
If someone comes to my home and bothers me, I will not respect that and they will not be treated politely. Especially when I have signs up indicating they are not welcome. Idiots don't recognize rudeness... and yes there are those out there soooooo damn dumb they can't even read a sign. No respect from me ! And not sorry for it either !!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah life is good !

I agree. It really is the best way to deliver your meanest, most infuriating message to someone who is testing you and get to walk away without being accused of being rude or disrespectful yourself.
If someone is being mean to you and they are really trying to push your buttons and make you loose your temper you can turn the tables on them and have them be the ones who end up furious by delivering your message to them in response with polite language and a smile. This does not mean you have to tell them nice things, you just need to tell them what you feel or think in a kind gentle way. It will make them furious.

Yes. If everyone in this world is pollite and respectful to each other, we wouldn't have so much fighting and crimes in our society. Also from experience, you never get a good outcome with anger and vularity. Just as the saying goes "war does not end war".

hi... i'm a Muslim too and that i'm 14, recommendations you. i replaced into born one. i do no longer understand why others decide Islam as merciless and brutal and you already know what, via fact we are no longer. Islam teaches us to make peace with fellow Muslims and non Muslims. i myself disagree on how some Muslims 'abducted' individuals formerly liberating them. there is not any factor doing so, in spite of everything, why gain this? Our Prophet did no longer do stuffs like that to his enemies, top? besides, we ought to appreciate human beings besides, no count what. so as that we would possibly no longer harm others. we could desire to be considerate as properly as open-minded, top? yet there is is a decrease.

As much as possible it is always correct to be nice. It doesn't cost extra to be nice.
