You only can do your part. Show that you care...say that you care...and so on. Be true to your feelings. You cannot convince someone that you love them the most. However you can always try your very best till the end.

Call him at home, and cook a good food for him. If possible try to test the food his mother has prepared, and try to mimic the same test. After he finishes the food, you can tell him that you love him, and can do anything for him.
