How can you be sure any gods exist. We look back on ancient civilizations and the gods they worshipped and we more or less just dismiss it. So who's to say in years and years to come the same thing will happen to us. Religions seem to change and fade so it's only time.
Plus, I am one of these people that need proof I'm afraid. I'm not saying there's exact proof or evolution as that has holes in the theory but it seems more acceptable to me.

God is an abstract concept
Man created Gods as a way to explain things they did not understand.
Religion was invented as a way to control the populous.
Then the Greedy and power hungry distorted those religions for there own benefit.
Now that we are in the 21st century and have science to explain the workings of the world "religious" and social leaders are reluctant to give up those "powers" so they use "religious differences" as a way to keep the people Scared and Confused thus retaining their power.

God? Every 1 has their own idea of what/who god is. So when i am confronted by the question "do u believe in god?", i reply, "what is your understanding of god?". Then i go on to add that belief or non-belief is irrelevant, " what do u KNOW about God?". U say god is trust, but u can't trust what u don't know, which leads onto the concept of faith. In its Latin root faith is 'fides' which also means trust and is the second half of the English word confide. So to have confidence is to know and trust in some 1 or yourself. So God is within us, if only we know ourselves. Religion has most people in a state of belief which is not factual understanding.

If God is everything then we are all Gods/Goddesses. Those Gods that are spoken of are all God but as Phedro said in there own stories and angles. But the All Thing (God)/ The Creator is all about Unconditional Love.

Yeah I know God is real, I was drinking with him in the pub last nite, he can knock back some amount of vodka, christ the colour of his puke on the footpath when we left the pub was horrible, hes just not a drinkin man

God is beyond all human understanding. Each religion thinks that they have the closest understanding but all are so far from reality that I don't know that it really matters. You might as well ask a virus if a human is more like a tree or a mouse.

Think of it like this...rather a simplification, I know, but try it any way...
God is the consummate cosmic and cultural quick-change artist.
Now, before anyone gets pissy, here is what I mean:
No matter what religion, or culture, it is all just God in another suit of clothes, made to fit for that faith.
He, in the Bible (for those who have read it...OY!), does not tell Moses to tell Pharoah, "I Am Bhudda," or, "I Am Muhammad," or, "I Am Oz, The Great & Powerful".
He simply says, "I AM."

What are you babbling about ,the God I GET IT i is a GOD OF UNDERSTANDING ,NOT CONFUSION .THAT IS OF THE WICKED THAT ARE LOST IN DARKNESS AND NEVER FIND.IT TO the LIGHT ,FOR GOD IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD THEREOF AND THERE IS ONLY ONE LIGHT MEANING ONE God that supplies it onto and into all that supports life in the realm controlling many realms and you are not alone .As far as trust is concern I put all my faith ,belief and the love I'm not using to gave to you in spirit is redirect to the holy one above all in knowing and trust only in the Lord of all that was created out of the holy spirit of life,for how can you trust in anybody when you cant even trust in yourself.,only fools go there

No god is real but Jehovah God A lmighty, creator of Heaven and Earth who through all thing were made and through whom none exists that wasn't made by him. When through the grace of God he reveals himself to you then you will know that He is real. I will pray for you mate

This is the how GOD describes HIMSELF in HOLY QURAN chapter 112.
[112:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.
[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.
[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
[112:4] "None equals Him."
NO ONE can challenge this. Except ISLAM, all other religions on the phase of this planet including their so called human gods cannot fit in this category.
