I want to experience most of the big attractions but I have a feeling that I will be too rushed if I go with a tour guide. Have you planned your own tour or did you just use the tour guides? What was your experience in terms of value for money. I really want to take a bite out of the big apple. I am 26 years old. Thanks

My preference is to take a relatively short tour about the highlights of a city and them go back to the places that really interest me. I find that I learn a lot more about the city that way. ( I do this often when I travel.) For New York the double decker bus is great. It is a two day pass and you can get on and off as you like, and hits most of the highlights of the city. See there web page below, if you buy before you go it is $5.00 cheaper. With this tour I think you get the best of both, a tour that you can customize to fit your needs.

As a NY native, I think you need to have some plan, but winging it during the day is fun. You never know what you'll find...restaurants, etc. Nothing wrong with taking the double decker bus to see some sites but you want the authentic experience, take the L train into Brooklyn. Get some pizza go to some bars. Make fun of the hipsters. Don't wear a fanny pack.

If its your first time, try a tour, even if only for an initial orientation.
Then next time you have a feel for how the city is, you will be better prepared for doing the things you want in your pace.

i think of shuttle employer is greater suitable in that it grants excursions to Egypt that combine historic previous and custom in a fashion that makes historic previous come alive and grants the tourist a feeling of exhilaration . Egypt excursions immediately are elementary, helpful and risk-free.From the 2d you arrive in Cairo till you board your flight abode you would be their very own palms.

I love finding my own way, and I find a lot of pre-packaged tours annoying.

It all comes down to personal preferences.

doing by yourself maybe slower but you might see something and not know any thing about it ,where as a guide would know. and that's the whole point of visiting a place...........learning about it
