His crime is to be in possession of an AK-47, without a license. It's not exactly used to kill pigeons, and whatever the reason he has, it's a crime as per law.
The part about him being an accomplice, though seems unlikely. He might have attended a few of the Don's parties, maybe even danced at a few, but that's something that he most likely could not have avoided. Come on, if D calls you to a party you go to it, who would have the guts to refuse the invitation. Feel sorry for this allegation on Sanjay.Dutt.

Yea!, Sanjay Dutt has really committed a crime.He killed the endangerd species of animals and even thats a crime.
