This hadith on the Mahdi is reliable, and has been related by 'Ali b. Abi Talib, Abu Sa'id, Umm Salma and Abu Hurayra":

'Ali b. Abi Talib has narrated from the Prophet, who said: "Even if there remains only a day on earth, God will bring forth a man from my progeny so that he will fill the earth with justice and equity as it is filled with tyranny."[15]

Yes Sister... there is no doubt about it. Before Isa (AS) returns, Imam Mahdi will be leading the army against the Mushrikeen and Dajjal.

Shias have self belief he's alive..... .....sunnis have self belief he would be born later on @shahyky ramadan 3:sixty one: "yet whoever disputes with you in this remember after what has come to you of expertise, then say: Come enable us to call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and our close to people and your close to people, then enable us to be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars." (...And while the verse 3:sixty one became revealed, the Prophet referred to as Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husain. Then the Prophet pronounced: "O Lord! those are my kin (Ahlil bayt)." resource: Sahih Muslim, financial disaster of virtues of companions, area of virtues of Ali, 1980 version Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1871, the top of custom #32. Sahih al-Tirmidhi, v5, p654 could those people pray to Allah SWT to curse people who call the son of Bibi Fatima (as), and the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HF) "dajja" (AstaghfureAllah) could Allah SWT burn all people who call the son of Bibi Fatima (as) the "dajjal" in the worst place of hell InshaAllah.......
