Cain married either a sister or some other close relative. The idea of "in-breeding" sounds gross in today's world. Laws on the books today about it are concerned with the genetic damage that can occur to the offspring. This was a concern after many generations of human beings. God told people to not inbreed in Leviticus chapter 18. This was after the world population was in the millions. Back in Eden, relations were with relatives initially. People lived for hundreds of years, and God told them to be fruitful and multiply. Adam and Eve had many children, not just Seth, Cain, and Abel. They in turn had many children, and so on. The Jewish historian Josephus wrote, "The number of Adam's children, as says the old tradition, was 33 sons, and 23 daughters." Adam lived to the age of 930. The genetic breakdown wasn't a concern then because Adam was made perfect in the image of God. Have you ever noticed when you get a "papered" dog, a pure breed, it has a much greater chance of genetic defects. The same is true with the human race as generations come and go.

As there was no mention of any people other than Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel we must assume that Cain bred with apes in The Land of Nod. What other conclusion could there be?

Probably a sister. Incest would not have been a problem then because sin had not progressed to the extent it has today. Look is took Adam and Eve hundreds of years to die. Sin just wasn't that powerful in the human body yet.

She had to have been one of his sisters.
And I love how people go " Welllllllllll, them there n*****s, you know, them thers the spawn of that there Cain!".
Uh, not. Don't they realize that the flood killed all of Cain's offspring? Uh, duh? LOL

People who use such language and are so short sighted and closed minded just make my skin crawl. Please, anyone I offended by the use of the n-word, forgive me. I was only making a point.

No one knows, not even your best bible-interpreter. All they have, or we have are guesses and assumptions.

If no other person were born out of Eve, the Cain probably impregnated his own mother. Who knows?
