YES I eat it every day for breakfast!
I'm not big on commercial dog food. If you use one - you need to pick a very good one. The whole dog journal lists their top 20 dry dog foods every year. Most are not sold in a grocery store.
I make/prepare or purchase fresh my dogs food. It's the best I can do (same quality as what we are eating - don't know if that's any better these days!! LOL )
There's a website below by a vet that speaks to what you are talking about. It's called food pets die from

I have actually tried dog food and it was on the recommendation of the company.
Natura makes THE HEALTHIEST PET FOODS in the world. UNLIKE Purina, Iams, Sicence Diet, Pedigree, Eukabuba, Kibbles'nBits, etc Natura DOES NOT use fillers, by-products (feet, feathers, beaks, etc), render animals (euthanized cats, dogs, diseased farm animals, restaurant grease, expired store meats) or chemical preservatives.
To be exact, I tried Karma Organics. At the time it was the ONLY organic dog food on the market, made completely from human grade, how fresh ingredients. The other amzing thing about the Natura company is that they don't produce a bag of food until it is ordered for sale so when the customer recieves it it is the freshest food you can by for your pet.
Unlike the low grade foods, Karma is not salty or disgusting. It just tasted like a biscuit.
Now, I only tried it the once and haven't made it a habit of eating dog food but ask yourself this...
IF YOU WOULDN'T EAT IT.........DON'T FEED IT TO YOUR DOG.

Yes! Gross! When I was a very young child I tried dry dog food. I actually think I liked it at the time! Then years later (when I had no desire for dog food) I thought a certain brand of BBQ potatoe chips tasted similar to dog food and I could not eat them.

Well, as a kid I did try milk bones and I remember them as being quite tasty. As an adult, no! My husband will taste treats and new dog food, both canned and dry and he says that it's not bad. I also make some treats for my dog, and if my husband likes them then I know my dog will love them! Tomorrow I think I'll serve my husband a can of Alpo for dinner!! (kidding!!) As for bird heads and dog fat --- I would not believe that!

Yeah, I've eaten it as a young kid.
I remember the biscuits and dry food was like bland cracker tasting.
The wet stuff is a bland chicken or beef flavored mush kind of like corned beef hash.
No, I've never really considered what is in dog food. Can't be worse than hot dogs.

Are you considering a change in your diet ro something!?
Why would you want to know this ...and ...where the heck do you get your list of dog food ingredients from...maybe some are like that (just like people hot dogs and McDonald's) but be realistic and actually look at the ingredient list you may learn something
and NO i haven't but I take some serious time in choosing what my dog eats and he doesn't seem to complain
he's like MIKIE... HE LIKES IT!!!!!

Ive eaten meat and biscuits, only on the attempt to make my dog eat it, I mean, the dog scrounges for human food, I thought if she saw me eating her's she would eat it and guess what IT WORKED !!! and guess what again IT TASTED AWFUL !!! I liked the biscuit better.
I remeber my brother on the farm eating cattle cake, and thinking back how much crap goes into it and that's proabably how mad cow and bse was carried !! I thought my brother to be a little strange and that was before the cattle cake!

Yes, I tasted a peice of Kibbles and Bits and it was discussting!! It was super salty and chewy, just like chicken brains would be. My dog however, loved it so much that he became obese and died from diabetes. Boo hoo. It's true, though.

I never did, I've always been a picky eater, but my parents claim they had to keep my sister away from the dogs when they were eating when she was a toddler because she would really chow down on it. She said it was tasty...but then, she also has bad taste in men, too.
