It doesn't hurt unless I press on it, then it hurts a little bit but nothing too terribly. I just now noticed it, but I don't know how long its been there. Its not colored. Its just the color of my skin. And its not very noticeable. Does anyone have any idea what it may be? Should I be worried?

it depends on how long its been there, your age, etc.
it most likely isnt a problem, but its good to make sure.

Only a MD can diagnose, but what you describe may be called a lipoma
A lipoma is a growth of fat cells in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin. Lipomas are found most often on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but can occur almost anywhere in the body. One or more lipomas may be present at the same time. Lipomas are the most common noncancerous soft tissue growth.
Usually the color matches the skin and feels like a
bb or marble.
I urge you to book an appt to confirm what it is.
Good luck- all should turn out well. RN in Ca..

It could be a little cyst or a small infected hair follicle. If it's right at the back and not just below or behind the ears then it's pretty unlikely to be a lymph node. I can't see any reason to rush off to the doctor's surgery, let alone the dermatologist (as suggested above). Wait a few days to see if there's any further change - e.g. redness and soreness suggesting a boil. Use your own common sense. You can always go to the doctor's next week if you're still worried.

I had two similar incidents. One was chicken pox, where the marble size bump was at the back of my neck but it went away after 3 weeks. The doctor said it was an infection. The other was on my forehead, I had it removed when it grew bigger over a period of 6 months.

Best to have it examine if it does not go away.

I am pretty sure this is a sebaceous cyst. It is like a fatty spot which heals over and gets bigger under the skin. If you fiddle with it alot you can possibly squeeze it out. If you go the the doctor he or she can cut it out, but it may need a couple of stitches. Probably just put up with it.

I had the same thing the other week hun, and it has now gone. Sometimes it can be due to a little virus, if its still there in a few days, and it becomes sore, i suggest you go to the doctor, try not to worry about it though, i know how you feel, you think allsorts of stuff!
It could just be swollen glands!
dont worry, keep your chin up.

Yes,it's probably a cyst.Go to your doctor,he will arrange for it to be removed. If you don't it will grow bigger and bigger.
My first husband had the same and it ended up the size of an egg.Not very nice on a man let alone a woman.

it sounds like an enlarged lymph nodes (gland) sometimes they swell when we have an infection or sometimes no reason at all as it hurts when you press on it it is nothing to worry about, but if it is still there in a few days go see your GP incase it is a boil. hope this helps.

I might possibly be a sist, which in most cases are harmless and can be left alone depending on it's growth rate or it can also be removed. Get it checked out though ASAP, not to scare you, but it could have cancerous cells. Most commonly they are not and are harmless.

For your own peace of mind, go straight away to the doctors to have it checked out.

Probably nothing ugly, but best to find out.
