I think some of it has to do with they want attention, and the culture we've been raised in.
I'm 19 years old, and once I got into MTV, the majority of the girls were scantily clad. Back in say...my Mom's generation - the 80's - tight jeans, and a band shirt (she was a metalhead) were the standard. Yeah, she may have ripped the shirt, but it wasn't like she went out in a bra and jeans.
There is this culture of rap vidoes and even other rock videos where the women are wearing some long-ish underwear that people call "Boy Shorts" and a bikini top, and that's the fashion, and that breeds this majority of girls wearing all this stuff where they're not half dressed.
They can't go out nude, public indecency.
But I think a lot of the blame is to be laid at MTV's feet, they're the ones encouraging this stupid fad of "wear as little as you can get away with."

Not all girls are like that, but blame it on the peer presure and the media nowadays.
Don't believe me? try checking out those music videos.....almost 9 out 10 are scantilly clad women in bikini's or 'barelythere' tops....and young girls are driven to that level and they think it's cool to dress like that, that's part of the reason why.

It is what is being sold in stores these days. What we would call 'slutty' is 'IN' now. Problem is that most girls are not cut out to wear it. The hip-huggers are one of them. Heavier girls wear them and hang out of them. Skinny ones, look skinnier than if dressed.
It is just the way it is. Every decade has it's own hip way of dressing.
My thing is the girls who think it is great to show their breasts to everyone that will look. Now that gets me. No morals!

well, lets just say these girls aren't the smartest of the human beings. they wanna look good and make heads turn and personally i think celebrities are to blame cuz these girls all wanna be like them. so these girls want the attention but they dont want to get raped or sumthin like that ya noe...

i wear the least amount of clothes possible because i feel like it. it makes me feel cute sometimes and i like to turn heads. Sometimes I wear joggin pants and a t-shirt, and sometimes I wear short skirts and boots.....
What you wear is just another way to express yourself. Some people write poetry, some people sing, some people just put on some "skany clothes" and strut around like a freaking model because they want to because they can because its a free freaking country.
Whats the problem?

They are very hot and to disipate heat from their body to environment they wear less cloth.
