Christians: if you were delayed by traffic and missed a flight that subsequently crashed killing everyone aboard, would you say that God was looking out for you?
If so, aren't you really saying that God controls whether planes stay in the air or crash?
In that case, did He smite everyone else aboard?

If god had intended us to fly he would have built that into us ( although how we would have managed our luggage i dunno. )
God is not responsible for building , maintaining or flying these vehicles. so do not hold him responsible for air crashes. ( is he at fault because of his stupid universal law of gravity ? )
I do not think god views all the fossil fuel pollution from air traffic very kindly.
Revelation 11 v 18
God just does not intervene in mankind's affairs . He lets everything take place and when bad things happen ' religious ' people say oh he took them away. he needed another angel. I realised this when god did not stop the dunblane massacre at the children's school. He could cause the guns to not work or make the guy just shoot himself first, but , god is letting all things take place so that his name will be vindicated and his justice and ways of doing things will be proved superior than if man tries to live without god in our lives. We are living in the time of the end. so have faith.
God will act soon to bring to a ruin those ruining our home planet earth. Surely this must be very soon because our planet will be totally ruined by 2050.

Is God responsible for mechanical failures in planes? No. Does God often intervene when there is a mechanical failure? Sure. Did God leave room for "freak" accidents when he created nature? Yes.

I'd say we all have an appointed day and time to meet our creator and give an account for our life. When it is your time to go there is nothing you can do to stop it.
A plane crash is the fault of the mechanics.

I personally think that God has plenty to answer for without saddling him with planes crashing too.

You have a two-dimensional question looking for a one-dimensional answer. God is all powerful and He can do anything. He gives us free will. We choose our own fates. Everything does happen for a reason. It all depends on who you are in Christ and your level of understanding. God says that it rains on the just as well as the unjust. He can intervene in anything. Seek God, He will give you the answers you so desire.

It is fate, if it is time for someone to die, they will die not matter where they are, they could be sitting at home, if it is time, it is time, it does not matter where you at.
