The first thing I noticed in your statement is " I feel I am going to waste". This is a big deal. Because you are pointing out something very important in your life. This depression and state of mind appears to be interfering with what you use to do in your life. You also stated you feel unhealthy.

It seems as though you want to find help. It appears that you don't like feeling this way. Apparently, you don't feel comfortable if you say you feel unhealthy.

Get some professional help if you feel as though you are going to waste. Get to the bottom of your issues before you "waste" your entire life away. I am sure you don't want to do that. Think of all the healthy things you use to do. Think about the friends who cared and still care about you. Take control of your life again!

Good Luck.

The fact you feel comfortable is misleading. You are really just worried about taking a chance and how you live at the moment feels safer and less risky. You need to take a chance.
Go on the net find a class/sport - makes you feel more healthy - and go along and meet new people.
Call up old friends and ask to meet up maybe just for lunch or something to reconnect. If you don't feel comfortable doing that correspond using email. It'll cheer you up and you'll find yourself feeling happier.
You could also take a course on something your interested in but gave up. Or even find an interesting job to get you out of the house and meeting people again.

It's hard when a person gets "tunnel vision". Meaning when you really aren't focused on anything that is going on around you, your just dwelling on you, and what your feeling are today. It's easier for you to just sit and make no changes, BUT it's not healthy for you. While all this is happening your self-esteem is dribbling away-slowly. So I guess in a way you are letting yourself waste away. You need to ask yourself WHY? What's really bothering YOU? YOU know what it is. What can YOU do, to help your self feel differently or better? Sitting there and feeling bad is not going to solve anything. It's time for you to get up, and seek help, either from family, friend, or a professional. A group therapy would be interesting, you would find out just how many people have feeling just like you, or similar. First rule of life is: YOUR WORTH IT, GOD DID NOT CREATE JUNK! Good luck!

If you are content with how things are then why should you change? you are in a rest period that you seemed to need. Likely there was a lot going on in your life before that you were not happy with and you seperated from it all to take a break and start new, this is not uncommon. You should go get a check up and if you are depressed talk to a doctor, but other than that if you are happy that is what matters

Sounds to me like you just finished school and you dont know what to do next. Dont worry, it will pass, but in the mean time find a part time job, like waitressing. This way you can meet friends and make money, while deciding what to do. You feel comfortable, because you have no responsibilities and you dont need to worry. I suggest getting out there and have fun. Get off your lazy a$$ and get moving!!!!LOL!

That is the depression talking, you have to fight it. It ants you to stay in that place and feel miserable, it's going to tell you that you don't want to be any other way except the way you are now. Being happy is going to seem scary, it's really not, it's quite fun. Fight the depression.

You have to reach out to others. you're in a rut and know you're in a depression state so you must call the doctor because they won't call you. WE LOVE YOU TOO

somebody ought to take you in try to make you love again
try to make like the way you feel when they're under your skin
never once did you think they would lie when they're holding you
and you wonder why they haven't called when they said they call you
you'll start to wonder if your ever gonna make it by
you'll start to think you were born blind
from what i see
your just one more hand me down
cause no one has tried to give what you need
so lay all your troubles down
i am with you know

''hand me down'' Matchbox20 (its a good song, you should listen to it)
