Does anyone know how to remove skin tags at home. I dont have the money to go to the dermatologist. I researched it and it said that all the derms do is freeze and cut them off. I wanted to try it, but dont know how safe it is to do myself. Does anyone know if this will work or if I should just leave it be? Serious answers only...thanks!

I had one on my neck and I took a pair of scissors and cut it off. It hurt a little, and only a tiny bit of blood, but it hasn't come back. Also my ex had one under his arm. I took a piece of string and tied it off. A few days later it had turned black which meant it was dead so I just cut it off, there was no pain and no blood. It you can't afford going to the doctors, those are the only way I know of getting rid of them. Good luck.

I have heard a few ways to remove skin tags. One way is to get the new stuff for warts that freezes the wart, but before you do it, put neo sporine with pain reliever all over the area before, after and for days after. put the thing over the tag and hit the button, it should kill the cells by freezing and in a day or so it should come off, be careful of infections. The other way is with dry ice, I dont see how that could work, but be careful, it could really burn the skin around the tag. The last way is to take a piece of thread and wrap it around the base of the tag and pull the thread tight until it litterally cuts it off at the base, dont forget the neo sporine!!! Good luck, be very careful and I would only try it on one that doesnt show, is not very big and the person really needs the lift having them removed will bring. Keep us posted!

There is a product that is used to freeze off warts at home you can buy at Walmart or a pharmacy. I think it is made by Dr. Scholl's. You could try that, but be careful, you have to make sure not to freeze the healthy skin with the skin tag. Good luck!

I have some myself, the couple in my pits make it really hard to shave and not hit them. I was told before that if you deprive them of a blood supply they will die, dry up and eventually fall off on their own. But it is a virus and there is a good possibility of more coming back. I have learned to live with the ones I have as trying to tie them off myself didn't work, you really need something pretty much as thin as a hair to be effective. If you really want to get rid of them I would wait to save up the money and get it done properly and avoid possible infection from not being sterile enough doing it yourself.

Good luck.
