Religious behavior
If your religion tells you or your lead to believe that forcing your beliefs and or views on others than you are not following any known religious standards in any religious books known on this planet.
The key word here is forcing. Nowhere in any religious book does it tell anyone they have to follow in any which religious direction. This is why we were given free-will. It isn’t anyone’s job to judge others and try to make them see things any others person’s way.
Many have mis-understood God’s words in the Holy Bible and feel they have to do the work of God by spreading his word. This is not true and God never told anyone to force others to listen.
No one is telling you how you should believe, nor should you tell others how they should believe unless they ask you or come to you. No church head goes out and hounds people to worship God and then if they refuse they hound them telling them they are going to hell because that is judging others.
How would you feel if someone tried to force their beliefs on you? How would you feel if an atheist hounded you and would not go away when you told them too? You would feel the same as someone not wanting you to preach to them.
Going to someone who has asked you to not come around is not only rude but shows a lack of respect for them as well as for yourself. Little than you know when you behave badly your driving more people away from God then your bringing to him. This is why God said teach by example. And this means let your light shine by living good not only behind the shadows but also in the open where others can see you.
So to answer your question it is never ok to force anyone and when asked to leave you alone then this is what they should do.

I am a Christian.
I believe I should walk the walk I talk and show the world, thru how I choose to live, how to be a good person.
I do not go door to door.
I do not leave tracts on tabletops.
I do not tell anyone they are going to hell for whatever reason.
I just try to be the best person I know how to be and hope others will want to follow my example.
Why is that such a hard concept?

Katie, i'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. i've got been an enthusiastic "Mormon" on condition that i became 20 years previous. it quite is the main suitable element i've got ever achieved, so i'm going to speak approximately it to anybody who'll hear. i think i'm like a toddler who's got here across a large new sport, and want each physique to play with me. Please pardon me if i'm disillusioned with your rejection.-- i quite think of in case you may supply "Mormonism" 0.5 a guess, you may come to share my emotions. you won't rush to get baptized, yet you may in all risk admit it quite is a large thank you to stay. on the different hand, i do no longer want to alienate my buddies, so in case you (of they) are not fascinated, we will communicate of alternative issues. I basically have been given to be an entire-time missionary for 2 years, and that i paid my own thank you to try this artwork. My time became constrained, and my money much greater so. no person had to tell me it quite is a waste of time being pushy. it quite is obtrusive!

no its not right to push due to it being the individuals choice to choose their salvation, it is however the Christian's duty to witness, which entails telling what god has done in their life and then leave the rest up to the holy spirit to due the work that needs to be done. Its when we as humans take things into our own hands and think we are in control that messes everything up.

No it isn't right. (Where's the love in that?)
Tell the person they are doing more damage for their religion than good by being so forceful. Tell him/her that your religious convictions are ones you must come to on your own. Tell them to shut up already if that doesn't work.
Spirituality is about love, not pissing others off.

no it's not right for anyone, of any religion, to push their religion on anyone else.
however, the problem with monotheistic (One god) religions, is that they have this...need....ingrained upon them that they must save everyone.
What i reccomend is that you simply tell the person. "This is what i believe, i'm just as willing to die for my faith as you are for yours." that usually shuts people up.
if that doesn't work, then one i really like to use is... "Does your faith believe in reincarnation?" (Most people who push religion don't believe in reincarnation.) when they say no, tell them "mine does, so i actually know what happens after you die."
an alternate form of the same comment is "have you died?" "So, your religion is just as valid as mine then, since you don't have undeniable proof."
(I'm a heathen/Asatruar. it's like paganism only specifically Nordic/Germanic)

Nope, there is a time and place for everything. Everyone will be exposed to The Word. It is your decision to accept or reject it.

If you work w/ or for the person that's considered harrassment and it is covered int the equal opport law. If they're just a neighbor or something get some devil worship materials and innundate them w/ it. See how they like it.

How in the world does one "PUSH" their religion on you? What you want is to silence people from talking?

Yes why not. It depends. Religion means "group" and if you belong to a group where the truth are being shared to one another, don't you think it is not worthwhile sharing?
