He's re-offending so theoretically it could be a short prison term. Doubtful though, so it will probably be a heavier fine and a further ban (maybe another eighteen months). There will probably be a re-test and he may also attend some educational courses on driving and road safety (if these are locally available).

I really don't think he will be imprisoned for this offence -- Uk prisons are already bursting at the seams ! However I think he will get another ban, I think he will only ,make matters worse for himself if he tries to make excuses, as there are no excuses for driving while banned. He should have had the sense to realise that the police watch the cars of all banned drivers. I believe some areas are now confiscating vehicles of people without insurance, etc - rightly so, why should other people pay for road tax, etc and others not ? He needs to look on the internet for information on second offences, driving while banned etc.

You know summitt similar happend to a good mate of mine... had a ban (caught doing stupid speeds with no tax insurance) he got banned for a year and again got caught going to work!!! again no tax mot or insurance on car!!! he got 6 months in the slammer fine and banned for 5 years...

I was there when he was scentenced!!! and the judge did say he was going to make an example out of him... so fingers crossed things wont be as harsh for your mate...

Ooops! What bad luck!

I would eat humble pie. Get a letter from his work to say where he was asked to work that day and explain to the court that the job is very important and he just couldnt afford to get their any other way. Lick lots of botties and they MAY just extend his ban a little.

He wont be going to jail, and I doubt he will get a huge fine, but I cant emphasise enough on the "Sorry m'lud" stuff!

longer ban, fine ,community service order, retake driving test( or extended driving test) tell the court the employer told him if he didn't go to the job he would be sacked and they wouldn't pay the cab fair. or tell them your parents took all your toys of you when you were at your most impressionable age(this usually works). or you could just accept the punishment and get a push bike they are cheaper to run and better for you and the environment. look on the bright side at least you didnt kill anyone thats ten years or more.

You'll end up with a three to five year ban,or in some cases especially, if your involved in a serious accident, banned for life.

via time you get a attraction into the courts after doing each and all of the workplace work and arranged for a unfastened day/time slot to be disbursed to have an afternoon in courtroom the different 6 months might have already been and long previous and you will possibly have your licence back...

A longer ban and a fine - and possibly his employers might terminate his employment.
