Well, its true to a certain degree that appearances can be decieving. However, beard is IMPORTANT in islam. Throughout history, muslims had an identity. Its like sikhs look at how they hold their traditions. Now people just say ohh you dont need to do that to SUCH a degree that today a muslim having a beard is no more a norm a society. That now for a muslim to have a beard is to actually go against the norm. this is true even in muslim countries.

I guess its up to them. Its sunnah...you marry someone not out of how they look, but who they are right? So, if they dont want to marry someone who is growing a beard for sunnah its basing it on appearance. But, that's just my opnion!

Edit -
I understand, as a muslim myself. But not many people in my family keep a beard, right now, my father is trying it. It has been said the the Prophet's (saws) beard could be held with two whole hands and still keep going. Honestly, I might marry a man with a beard. Most muslim men I know, dont have a FULL beard as long as you're saying, but they do have A beard.

The Quran in basic terms forbids women human beings from marrying idolators. It does not forbid women human beings from marrying Christians and Jews. in spite of the indisputable fact that, women human beings were discouraged from marrying non-Muslim men so as that they don't seem dealt with badly by technique of non-Muslim men (they could not have regulations on adultery, alcholism, and so on). the problem of toddlers in all likelihood turning out to be non-Muslims is likewise there. besides, it really is going to not be a challenge so long because the husband will take care of her nicely and understand her faith.

no my husband doesnt have one, my brother doesnt have one and my papa never had one. infact except for one of my uncle -- none in my family or say the entire generatiopns had a beard. some of the Sunnah or Customs are optional.

as far as Hijab for women is concerned -- ever heard of a place called Tuareg?. it is a country with predominant muslims. but here the WOMEN DONT cover their face inspite of wearing the Hijab -- but to add to most people's shock it is the MEN who from childhood cover their face with Niqab.

When you chose a way of life and you look in a way that supports that way of life, you also chose the girl for you who will chose you for the way of life that you chose. It will be important to her to please God just like you do :)
