Not my words "God is a spirit who made a human woman pregnant so he could have a human son on Earth for a time.
Back in heaven God is head and Jesus is his son, not the same person. "
that reminds me of God Zeus having sex with women on earth...didnt u know the concept of trinity was actually inspired on it? and didnt u knew this is the reason why for so many years and even know Church bans and disagrees with everything that relates religion with myths...
By the way...u must recall the concept of trinity was made up when the first christians needed to spread one religion among all romans to unify the empire...and this sets of beliefs fit better to their previous traditions...

The story of Jesus is also based off of the Hercules myth: Son of god, born to a mortal woman, and had to perform many great deeds (miracles) until he rose and joined his father in heaven...

Lots of things in the Bible can be taken as mythological, but God merely used Mary to deliver His son to the world. Zeus had sex with women because he liked it. The old testament is very akin to these Roman Gods, who are angry and vengeful most of the time, with brief glimpses of a loving God (even God's prophets, if you believe that's what they are, can't write without biases). The new testament is hardly anything like Roman/Greek mythology, as it has a much softer edge to it. Also, a lot of the mythological-sounding stories in the Bible have morals associated with them, which many of the legends of Greek/Roman mythology are sorely lacking. And yes, I did know this is why the myth of the trinity was created, but seeing as it has no basis in religous text, I don't subscribe to it.

Yes the forming Christian Church borrowed from many other religions for its rites and rituals. also combing myths to help explain their ideas. While dropping some O.T. books as being to Jewish and not in line with the idea of Jesus as the son of god.
While Jesus told the Gentiles to Keep his words and deeds true and pure until the Jewish people realized that He WAS the true promised Messiah.

actually not the first christians used the trinity it was hundreds of years later that the trinity was incorporated into christianity. the first christian believed in the god jehovah and that jesus was sent as their savior this is the same god as the jewish people they did not worship god in a trinity the roman catholic church from constantine who was a pagan until he converted to christianity on his death bed was in part responsible for the trinity to help unify his peoples in the third century a.d. this was not right to do and has helped mankind draw further away from god as is evident by the churches today especially the catholic church sad to say

I am not sure where you are getting your information from....yes God is a Spirit...(and those that worship him must Worship him in Spirit and in Truth)....but the Bible says that the Spirit of God "overshadowed" Mary....it says nothing about sex....if He is God...then he can create life without sex....if you choose to believe that the trinity is based on greek mythology...well that is your choice...but you are choosing to believe humanist education...(man is the measure of all things)....I don't know if you are formally educated, or just enjoy reading, but some of your information is skewed.
Have you actually read the Bible?....do you understand the difference between the old and new testaments(covenants)....have you ever done a study of how many of the old testament prophecies have been fullfilled ?...Actually, most anti-christ scholars prefer to teach that Christianity is based on Zoarastorism/mythraism....mythra was the sun god ...son of zoaraster....mythraism was the largest religion among males in the rome, but that was over 300 yrs after Christ that Constantine made christianity the state religion of rome....and it was not to unify the empire....or to spread the gospel...he did it out of superstition....the citizens were getting riled when he outlawed all gods but Christ...idols were big buisness in constantinople....he compromised for economics sake and allowed the folks to keep there idols, just renaming them.....apollo would now be Jesus...venus mary...etc.....the chief holiday of course was the birth of the sun god mythra....which was celebrated @ the winter solstice around december 21....where we get christmas....and thus the catholic (universal) church was born....but they were not the first Christians....you may want to read the book of acts to find out about that!
The concept of the trinity is told about in the old and new testament. The Gospel of John starts out ..."In the begining was the Word, the Word was with GOD...and the Word was God...v14...and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us in the form of Jesus Christ.....Jesus said ...if you have seen me...you have seen the Father...and I and the Father are one.....but he also prayed to his Father...and refered to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter...and said when he comes.....so it would appear as though the "Trinity" is not seperate beings, but 3 aspects of one person.......
I have no Idea of your motivation for your statements, but if you want to understand any of these things I would encourage you to begin to study the Bible....start in the Gospel of John...then the other gospels....acts...romans...corinthians.etc....once you have studied the new testament ....then try to tackle the old.(the covenant God made with Israel ....that paul refers to as our school master)......seek God....pray for enlightment.....Jesus said you will find me when you seek me with your whole heart....or believe man....who offers nothing but the grave....may God bless you with salvation and understanding .......God the Father loves you...whether you chose to believe Him or not....Jesus the Son loves you no matter what you do..that is why he came to earth...to live for you and die for your sins, so that you could accept his gift of salvation, purchased with his innocent blood...and was raised again for you, so that you could have eternal life ..and the HOLY SPIRIT is waiting for the day when you surrender so that he can comfort, guide, and teach you all things....but only if you choose...it is your choice to reject God and all he offers...but please remember.... God did not send his son into the world to destroy mens(peoples) lives, but to give them life and life more abundantly....and the wages of sin are DEATH....BUT....the GIFT of GOD is eternal life through Christ Jesus!
