My gf back home just went to the doctor the other day and found out that we are having a girl. i've been racking my brain to think of a name that we both will like, does anyone have some suggestions?

I just had a little boy which I named Malachi. But if it was a little girl I like the names Madison or Mackenzie because they are different. That's what I will name my littlle girl when I have her. Francis Coralie Perkins was the first woman to hold a position in the Presidental Cabinet. She was appointed Secretary of Labor. I read this in my history book when I was a Jr. in high school. I've been in love with the name "Coralie" ever since. And you have a really cool story behind the name to tell her when she's grown. Maybe she'll be a good leader with that name, just like Perkins.

Please don't let people on here decide on a name for you, pick something that has meaning to the both of you. It's okay if one of the suggestions gives you a name or an idea of a name that you hadn't thought of before, as long as it has meaning for you. Look at all of the women in your family and your girlfriend's family, is there someone especially important to either one of you whose name you can use, for first or middle? And go to www.babynames.com You can find out the meanings to almost any name. And it also gives a top ten list of named. If I were you I'd try to avoid any of those top names so your girl doesn't end up one of 5 other "Emily's" or "Ella's" in her Kindergarten class in a few years. Oh, and congratulations!!!
