In my opinion, natural hair is better left natural. There is something about the texture of natural hair that does not lend itself to being highlighted/frosted. Just think about the women you have seen with natural hairstyles, if they chose to color their hair, it probably looks unnatural. Plus, highlighting weakens hair, so the hair will no longer be unprocessed. If you decide to highlight your hair, do a strand or patch test first, so you can be sure you will like it.

If you process with chemicals or choose to use only heat, it will still look good. If you really treasure being natural (no chemicals) and you don't like to use much heat either, I think you should leave it in the natural color. Highlights/dyes are chemical processes to the hair and they softly relax the hair texture. So if you don't use chemicals but only heat, it will still look okay. Or if you use neither but air dry it, it can still look okay. If you like to air dry your hair, you can make your hair way less coarse and close to straight with conditioning and combing conditioner through hair from ends to tip with a wide tooth comb, and using a comb to flatten wet/damp hair flat against scalp and continue to lightly tug on hair and keep it flat against scalp until it's dry. Also, moisturize well 3-4 times a week to prevent chemical damage or breakage if you do add color to it.

Well, I plan on getting a frosting kit on my curls. But it depends on how curly/kinky your hair is. I have Black/Latina hair and its wet/wavy/curly. I think its called 2b-2c on that scale, but anywho, If your hair is very thick. I dont suggest the frosting or the hilighted look. If its like mine, then sure! go for it!

Give it a shot, I swear I've seen it before. If you don't like it, dye it back. (or if you wash it a lot the first week it will probably come out anyway)

Don't do it. You might end up looking like some spotted animal. You would probably be better off just dying it all one color.

It really depends on how you wear it. It could look nice, but it really depends on the style that you are planning to wear.
