If i were you i would go to the emergency room. This stuff can really cause a lot of major health problems for some people and for all people if taken too long or taking too much. You dont want to stop it suddenly if you dont have to as it can cause some metabolic issues. But if it is causing you health issues it may be best to stop it anyway. You are on a lower dose so stopping shouldnt be too big of an issue. However you do not want to stop and fall into anaphilactic shock from the shell fish either. Perhaps they can just give you some benadryl for your allergic reaction and be done with it. The palpitations concern me. GO get checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.

This medication can cause those symptoms and make you feel anxious and irritable too. They will go away after you have finished taking the steroids. You should report to the doctor that you are having these symptoms, especially the palpitations. Better to be safe than sorry.

Contact your doctor. I was put on prednisone two weeks ago and had to be taken off within 5 days due to problems I started having with my breathing. It has many side effects. Make sure your doctor knows the effects you are having with it. There are other meds out there they can use. Good luck.
