Is QA, s/w Testing an option or not?

How about ERP?(It might be relevant but experirnce to enter the industry is a big constraint for freshers isnt it?)

Hey thanks for responding. As u asked further details, here r they..

I completed MBA(finance&systems) in july 2005.
I worked as an end user on Oracle financials erp for 6 months and left it , as i came to know that experience wont count, then i have taken a course in Financial Modules of Oracle Applications. Though i am comfortable with these relevant implememtation expereice is the constraint i am facing to enter this field.

I do have knowlwdge of Manual and Automated software testing.
Now tell me how can i get into industry

I think a MBA is too much for QA or Software testing. You don't even need a degree for software testing.

Project Management.

The problem is, you need to know how to program (and maybe architect) so that you can communicate with your programmers (and so they don't BS you).

If you don't know how to program, you may be interested in doing technical writing. That would get you closer to knowing how the user will work with the software and how the requirements documentation is created. It will also expose you to a 60K foot level understanding of programming.

I gotta tell ya, experience is really important in IT. If it's really your passion, then dive in and go for it. But paradoxically, it may be a long, long time before you can use your MBA to do project management. (I know, it sucks)
