He is 10 mons. A chiguagua pure breed. The hospital would not see him, cause I didn't have money. I even took something he threw up (looked like pieces of raw liver), tried boiled rice and ground turkey, it worked for two days, but he's worst now. I can't lose him. He's all I have. Please help!!!

For the people that like to insult me, I was in college and was given Machito as a gift. I withdrew from school to get a full-time job and take care of my puppy. It's been very difficult. I just wanted to ask a simple question and try to recieve emotional support. Not to be put down. Someone cannot be judged by a question without knowing the facts.

I'm sorry, but the raw liver looking stuff is blood. There isn't much you can do for him at home..He needs veterinary hospitalization..Forcing him to drink Pedialyte or Gatoraid is about all that you can do..Put in in his mouth by spoon, about 2 teaspoons, every few minutes..
It is worth a try to see if you can qualify for this credit card..all they require is any steady source of income> CareCredit lets you begin your treatment or procedure immediately,”then pay for it over time with low monthly payments that are easy to fit into your monthly budget.
For veterinary care, go to this page, and click on "proffessions', and scroll down to 'veterinary'.

after you fill it out, you will know within a few minuutes if you have been approved.. It is certainly worth a try..

Because this does sound like Parvo (only a vet can diagnose) take extreme precaution to keep away from other animals. Keep one set of clothing for handelling the dog and burn the clothing or wash in a heavy solution of chlorine bleach (the clothing should be considered ruined) after you have found a solution.

Clean your home completely with lysol. Do not get another animal for at least one year (preferably until you can afford one).

Parvo is highly contagious, and some may consider these steps overkill, however, I don't. It's not that much trouble and could prevent an outbreak in your community.

As far as providing healthcare for the animal ... honestly if no other option works, write a bad check and pay it off later (illegal, but unless you make a habit of it, it'll be fine). Or just don't pay them at all. Honestly, allowing an animal to die in such a painful way is inexcusable. Period. IMO any bad credit they wreck will look good with Saint Peter. I have a hard time believing the vet is scraping by.

Sure as heck sounds like Parvo. Does he have his vaccination for that? If not then I'll bet it's that or possibly Distemper. Either will kill him without treatment. First thing to do is get pedialyte and syringe that into him. The diarrhea will dehydrate him very quickly and will be a real killer. Get yourself this stuff.

I've heard some real miracles stories from it. Contact these people when you order it and they can send you a tea recipe that will sustain your puppy till you receive the product. This is about the best advice I can give you in your situation. Your dog will die untreated so you need to act quickly. May God be with you both.

Edit: Could you maybe get a loan out on your computer from a pawn shop or something?

It could be many things, parvo which is very serious, a very severe allergy to something, partial bowel blockage, and then some others but he needs to see a vet. Call around and find out who takes a payment plan and go there. Try a clear chicken broth and water, lots of water, no dry foods, then if that seems to help, feed him just canned. I would get him to the vet asap though. It's late tonight, 2am where I am, so right now I'd advise letting his tummy settle, leave out just water, then in am try broth, see how he does while you call the vet and get him in by tomm night or Friday morning. See how he does if he keeps it down and get a stool sample if you can to take.

Call the humane society, SPCA, or even the local pound in your area and ask if they have an "angel" fund that could help pay the expense of visiting a vet. If they don't, call every vet that you can get to, explain the situation and ask if there's any possibility of making payments. Do it now or you're going to lose your puppy - it sounds a lot like Parvo, which can be fatal.

If that doesn't work, contact me at woofnmew2@yahoo.com and I'll see what I can do to help.

This could be "Parvo" which is very serious and
can cause death from dehydration...please do
no put off taking him to the vet....can you borrow the money from someone????Plead
with someone who loves you to allow you to
borrow the money to save this puppy!!! Buy
some of that electrolite water in the baby section of the store tonight and make sure he
keeps down even a little bit..console him and love him and please get him to a vet tomorrow.
I can't beleive an animal hospital would turn a
puppy away that is sick because you didn't have
the money...this is terrible...I will pray for your
pup tonight. God Bless...maybe a church or some organization for animals will help,if you cannot afford to take care of him, if you really love him make sure he is given the best chance to thrive and be alive...make some calls tomorrow for help..I'll be praying for you and your pup

take him to a different vet. Tell them you will need to work out a payment plan.

Call you local humane society too, because they will know if there are any organizations in your community that can help give you money for the med treatment.

Also, has he had all of his vaccinations? He should be completely vaccinated by now.

If you don't take him to a vet he will die a very slow aqnd painful death, which he doesn't deserve. Go ahead and take him to get treatment, then tell the vet to work out a payment plan.

He is probably infested with intestinal parasites (hookworms, whip worms, pin worms, tape worms). All puppies are born with worms. If he's never been treated, then it gets worse and worse until he dies. I suggest you buy a cheap, over-the-counter de-wormer for puppies. They are very effective, and just a few bucks. By the way, if you can't afford a simple vet visit, then how do you buy his dog food every week? Just curious. Please get him to the vet, I have 5 dogs, and can't imagine any one of them suffering like that. Call your local humane society or SPCA, they will NOT turn you down just because you can't pay.

Talk to a vet about a payment plan. Part of proper pet care is health care. Something is very wrong and you should see a doctor as soon as possible. A chiguagua can't afford to lose TOO much weight!

GEEZ! here we go again.....

I have no idea - I'm not a vet. Did he receive his vaccinations dare I ask? Parvo perhaps?
Is there NO way you can pay for a vet.....? Credit Card, ask them to make payments.....post date 5 different checks spread out over 5 months.....ask a pet loving friend or family?
If it were my dog and I didn't have the cash - I would find something to pawn and quick, a piece of jewelry or something!
