i just got done working out 20 mins ago it 1am can i drink my whey protien shake right now?should i or wold it just make me fat sence im drinking it at night?

you can drink however much whenever you want, protein does not turn to fat...ever, carbs will turn to fat not protein, your body will dispose of any extra protein it doesnt use, you should try to drink the protein before you work out anyways not after for efficiency

Okay, protein shakes are for building muscle and mass. The mass, you turn into muscle. They actually recommend you drink them before or after the workout. My husband, who is a body builder, drinks them durning his workout and even during the day when he isn't working out to ensure that his muscles are being fed the protein they need.

It depends on how late you're going to stay up, but protein after a workout is always a good idea because you need it to rebuild your muscles. I would recommend working out earlier in the day though because a good night's sleep is essential to growth and muscle recovery and your body needs time to wind down before you sleep.

If you're trying to lose weight I wouldn't recommend drinking a protein shake at any time because it's full of calories.

you shouldn't be working out this late you know but you should drink it in the morning. From what I read here I think that you're dieting wrong. you do excercise at about 7 and you sleep at 10.

I would just wait and drink it in the morning...Cause that is going to turn into fat...
