Unfortunately it all depends on the photographer. I had some done with my family one year and OMG the pictures were so good, we bought a HUGE package and I only intended on buying the cheap set. The photographer was funny and took the time to take our pictures in different settings and didn't rush us.

The following year, we went to take pix again and they came out YUCKKY, I didn't even want the cheap set, but I had paid for them already. I should have known b/c the lady rushed us, didn't help me to get my son to smile, and even told a girl and her daughter behind us that she was "booked" - which I thought was weird because we were a half hour early! (I SO wish I would have said something!!!)

So you're taking a chance at Wally World. Try "The Picture Place" I have many friends who have taken great pictures there and when I ask where they were done, the say the Picture Place. Thats where I'm going next. Their prices aren't so bad, not as cheap, but the pix turn out great.

I worked for them years ago.. then it was nice.. people tried and did a good job. I was only there for a month though since they pay too little... I took my son there a few months ago and they were horrible! No talent, in a rush to get us out so he could leave (and we had an appointment we were 15 minutes early for!) and he didn't even try to make him smile. He just took the pictures! He changed the background twice out of 7 pictures and the props were dumb and rarely used. Nothing like they advertise now. I had to write the HQ about how he acted towards us too and I chose not to buy anything... even the special. If you have a kiddie Kandids, they are excellent! Picture people are horrible, Target portraits are bad, and the only other one that was PERFECT was JC Penny! I loved them! I would say find Kiddie Kandids and JC Penny!

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!! I have had nothing but bad luck with Wal-Mart photography. Always remember you get what you pay for and because wal-mart is cheap that is what you get. I had retake after retake done and ended up getting pi$$ed off at them. I will never go to walmart again for pictures. Spend a little more and go to sears or penny's or somewhere like that. Well worth the extra dough. I had pictures with my son's head cut half off,got the wrong pics back and had pics that were so off center that it looked like a 5 year old could have done a better job. Maybe I have just had very bad luck with walmart but i know at least 3 other people that will never go to walmart for pics again either.

well, they definitely aren't the best quality. I got pics done there with my family, and in all the pictures theres a shadow in the upper right corner, which happens to be covering me most of the time. So if you want really good pictures, you chould probably find a real photo place.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Why would you knowingly give your hard earned money to a company who profits heavily from sweatshops?
Choose a local photographer with reasonable rates and a good portfolio. If it's so important put some effort into it! Also check out the link below.

It depends on the interaction between the photographer and the subject, so you can't say for sure. Walmart has a different photographer at every location, so - who knows???

Good if the level of work is good. Reasonable pricing for sure. Check out the photogs portfolio first though. Understand their satisfaction policy and accept the maxim, you get what you pay for.

They're what you would expect fom wal-mart- decent quality and inexpensive. However, if you're taking in a baby who can't sit yet, don't bother. They don't move the camera around and as a result, the photo is mainly of your baby's feet. Seriously.
