Here's the deal and it's been a LONG time since I've taken any youngens out. My bro asked me to double with him, his girlfriend and his girlfriend's sister who's in town for a couple days. She's been seeing the same guy for a few years and they live a miserable life. Anyways, I was asked to show her a night she will never forget and show her that there's other stuff out there outside of this crackpot loser.

She's 18, I'm 35. It's not going to be a relationship because presumably she's going to go back to her city and I'll stay in mine. Based on what my bro's gf told me she's working full time, her bf is working full time and there's little if any extra $$ for fun. That's where I come in.

I know.... long story to just get to the question... so here it is: If you were 18, just barely making ends meet and never saw your boyfriend, what would you think was the cat's meow to get you away from your boyfriend and make you think twice about leaving him? (take a breath) ahhhhhh

Take her out for a game of pool, or something fun to do in the city, maybe go karting or something, depends on what she likes. Take her for a walk. Talk to her, let her feel that there are "other" guys out there. If she's with this loser , it's most likely she's with him for comfort and is afraid to leave him cause she'll have no one, and her self asteem has been brought down by staying with this guy for so long, So go out compliment her, talk, flirt a bit. Laugh, and tell her she's a great girl.
All she needs is a ego boost, to get the hell outta a crappy relationship

Go out dancing.
I know. But you asked what she would think is the cat's meow that her boyfriend is not doing.
I guarantee you he doesn't take her out dancing. And, You will look good for going yourself, there are always more girls in the room than guys so you may find someone yourself.

Call up local swing dance groups or Latin dance clubs and see if they do a lesson before the dance. It is usually very beginer, basic and easy to do the lesson. And for real, Just DANCE. No body cares what you look like.

If she gets asked to dance by guys she will feel good.
And if she doesn't, you and your bro just dance with her and his girlfriend and ya'll have a good time together, no worries.

She will also see how other people in relationships there/etc interact and your brother and his girl and such.
If ya'll don't like it or get tired, you can go get breakfast/coffee at a diner or just go home too and rest.

For dancing: No stiletto heels for beginers.
They look cool, but are impossible for a beginer to dance in. wider heels are better [just not stelettos]

The only thing is-- Nothing sucks more as a girl to go to a dance and Not dance. So if you go, COmmit. Who cares what you look like, no on there was born knowing how to dance either [even if they are good now]
In a situation like that you should plan on asking the girl you brought to dance about 5 dances and any other ladies in your party 2-3.
[if the girls are not already dancing with others and waiting to dance]

FYI: If you go latin dancing, You may have to ask one or two girls to dance you didn't come with [strangers] so the other people can walk up to her without you there and know it is okay to ask her to dance since that will make it clear you are not dating.

If you do dinner? -- Dinner 2 HOURS before the dance arrival time.
Ex: dinner at 6pm, dancing at 8pm.
Rushing and missing the intro lesson means you will not have a good night and you need time to digest anyway.

A nice dinner and maybe a play or live show. She probably rarely gets to dress up to go anywhere. I think you should also give her a double day...meaning take her somewhere simple like breakfast and to a museum during the day and then pull out all stops in the evening. She will be in awe and hopefully know she deserves better and will demand it!

Best Wishes!!

If she is really that miserable with her boyfriend, be careful! An older, sweeter man who treats??? Doesn't take much at that age but perhaps a early evening dinner by the beach, if you're near one. A nice leisurely walk on the beach after dinner right around sunset. There's always someone selling flowers by the wharf, a single rose. You really need to be careful though, at that age, she might not want to leave you. Good luck!

well id say based on the fact that her bf is broke and they dont do much id say maybe take her out to dinner or shopping and dinner or shopping and lunch. something of that sort. cause if her bf is tight iwth money it could be good to see that there is a man who can treat her good and take her out once and a while. i dont kno when iwas 18 that would of been cool or i would of wanted to go to a club or lounge of some sort, and comming from dating losers in which i had to pay it was nice when a guy takes you out on him for once.... plus every girl lvoes shopping and guys hate it so be the man who shows her bf up pays and goes shopping hahah not to much fun but o well hahah thats all i got

OK let me just get this straight here---she's 18--you're 35--ok (i'm taking a deep breath here cause I'm a Mom)--and you're bro has asked a favor (deep breath). I'm thinking--dinner, movie--take her home and beat your feet outta there!!! (and you take a deep breath and take God no one chasing your behind). I hope there ain't a Daddy with a shotgun somewhere (mine would've been and my hubby would've been worse!!!!)

TALK TO HER.
ASK HER.
THATS WHAT MOST WOMEN WANT. IF I HAD THE CHOICE BETWEEN ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD OR JUST TIME ALONE WITH SOMEONE WHO THINKS IM WONDERFUL....WELL MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THATS WHY SHE IS WITH THE GUY SHE IS WITH. ASK HER.
BUT A LITTLE WINE&DINE WITH ROSES WONT HURT.
