An x-ray doesn't show everything. My doctor sent me to a bone specialist. He is giving me shots in the back that help a lot. I have severe degenerative arthritis and three disks that have shifted to the left, of the vertebrae. The x-ray didn't pick all this up. I think you should go to a bone specialist. The shots help so much. Don't suffer like this. I fell in the street. I couldn't shift the clutch on my car, so it started with my knee, and then I told the doctor about my back that had been bothering me for a very long time. We often just live with it, I think it's time you did something about it. I couldn't even mix a cake without my back killing me. These shots are a life saver. The phsysical therapist told me to swim a half hour every day. That's a great help. But please see a bone doctor, so he can maybe give you shots to relieve the pain.

I agree with Brenda. An MRI will help since you have been suffering for a long time. Loss of lumbar curvature indicates spasm of your back muscles which is most probably due, in your case, to a slipped disc. The MRI will determine if this is the case. Only setback is MRI's are rather expensive. If indeed you have a disc problem, you are probably a candidate for back surgery. You will need to see an orthopaedic surgeon for this. Or if you do not want surgery, maybe a Rehab doctor can help.

As ur lumbar curvature is flattened,it will never be completely regained. However u can live a pain free life by a set of 4 exercises to strenghthen ur lower back.I need more information about whether there is any compression in ur lumbar vertebras,if none then,I guarranty u will be alright within one month.

since ur x ray shows loss lumbar curvature its obvious tht ur spine will have a slight problem in balance and thereforth all pressure comes on which lead to pain.this pain may also b related to muscle pain as pressure comes on muscles too.
solutions:the most important part in reducing pressure ,to relieve pain is POSTURE,stand always straight ,always bend on ur knees while picking sumthing, and not to bend on ur back.Always turn to the direction of work ,means, not to turn unesseceralily, while doing a work, and turn to the particular side which u want.exercises ur doing ,but regularity is important.a hot water bag may help to relive pain for sumtime.for ions and calcium, diet is very important, like milk ,meat if ur an non-veg,green leafy vegetables, drugs like calcium sandoz is good.jagery is the cheapest and richest source of iron.while sleeping keep sum pillows under ur legs so tht ur legs r up and it will relileve pressure of spine.

Go to the Tame the Pain site in the Internet and see what you think of a pain stimulator. I had one put in this August and I now have no pain whatsoever. I had the Advanced Bionics brand put in. This device causes a little electrical sensation to go to where you are hurting and it stops the pain by blocking the nerve impulses.
