I am a 2nd yr. grad student, and there's this pretty cool chick I talk to. So far we're just friends but I mean to ask her out. Problem is she's a freshman, just turned 18 over the summer. Is that too young? In my mind that seems fine, especially with her, but would I be going out on a limb here? What do you think girls, cause I know the what my friends have said.

I'm 23. Yeah, I try to ask a girl out at most a couple of weeks after I meet them. Keeps you away from the friend zone and lets you move on.

Ok. My friends say I'm stupid because I am thinking too much. But then again they're guys.

I personally don't think age doesn't matter. What matters is compatibility - like your personalities match? Do you guys click and have chemistry? Are you both at the same mature level? If you have all that and more, then you guys can have a good match together. Age is just a number as they all say. You see 40 year olds dating 60 year olds or 18 year olds dating 30 year olds. As long as you two get along and are at the same level mentality wise, you both will be fine.
Don't worry about what your friends and others say. Do what you think is right......that's my thing!
Good luck!

Same problem my wife had when we were in college. I'll let her finish this one.....
OK, ask her out, she how she carries herself, acts around others, mainly you want to see how mature she is. If she is mature around others, working to accomplish goals in school. There maybe some tendencies to deal with time to time her being younger, just go out on a limb!

There is no wrong in loving your friend. Nowadays most of the friendship turns as love. Proposing is not a bad sign. Carry on my Friend. All the best for your love.

i don't think age should matter - at all. so waht if she's younger than you are? i don't see any problem in that... i have a friend who's in a relationship with a guy who is 11 years her senior... they don't seem to be having a problem. i mean, look at TomKat!

nothing wrong with that......the guy i'm seeing is 9 years older than me and i love him! i don't even notice the age difference when we're together. age is just a number, it's who the person is that counts.
