Quaintly phrased but you make a good point. A lot of people are fascinated with the emblems, the merchandise and the good feelings, but not so interested in the significance of what they claim to believe. Which is easier, to help a poor person or to put a Jesus fish on your car? Visit a prisoner or wear a cross? Sing a protest song at a civil rights rally or a hymn in church?

The Bible tells us to keep on making sure of what is acceptable to God. We do that by a very serious and in depth and diligent study of His Word, the Bible. We can't take just the parts that we like and over look or ignore the rest, and we have to stop and take a real good ,close, hard look at the organization we are involved with and make sure that everything they are trying to teach us is the truth. It is our obligation to seek knowledge, understanding, wisdom and discernment. If the so called wrapping is wrong, then what is inside may not be quite right either. I do believe that there is one way and that is the way of the truth taken from God's Word to us, not the distorted twisted way that many make it, but rather the simple pure truth that is easy to understand for anyone who really wants to get to know God.

Everyone is differentâ¥.
What does it matter if it makes one a better person and if they truly believe in it?
Isn't the point of spirituality to be happy and more compassionate towards those around you.
As long as good is coming from it, it must be right.
So forever what belief, as long as its genuine and on the right path I support it, and hope they use the love within their own heart, not because someone tells them too.. then I think its great.
God Bless Youâ¥

wow, thats an excellent statement. it takes a lot to not take it for granted, regardless of what your belief may be. there are others who will never be exposed to anythiing in the outside world, anything that can come from the internet such as this forum. it truly is a blessing.

This is so true to general people (who are attracted to one's 'wrapping') but the thoughts and judgements of general people have no deciding factor when Judgement Day comes and we are granted paradise or sentenced to hell fire.

Spirituality is reaching inside oneself to get in touch with the Deity within.

depending on how one is raised (fundamental christians/evangelicals), i would say that that is teaching that "saving face is more important than saving grace," and that the"shopping mall jesus" is just what you have described.
