i don't know about in two days. howevr i just read in a magazine, that cereal is a good diet. i say hit the water and eaat cereal only

Sorry, but that's two big no's to your question
1. No, you can't lose 5 pounds in two days
2. No, you can't choose where you want to lose the weight; in fact the waist is one of the hardest areas for people to lose weight off of.

A pound is 3500 calories; if you burn 3500 more calories than you consume, you lose a pound. It's that simple. Assuming that you need 2000 calories a day for your body to run (breathing, organs functioning, etc), you would need to fast for 2 days AND burn around 13,000 calories to theoretically lose that weight. Just as a reference, even the most strenuous exercises like sprinting at 10 mph only burn 1000 calories an hour. In other words, you would need to eat nothing for 2 days and spend 13 hrs + sprinting.

Even then, you wouldn't lose the fat off of your waist because there's no way to spot reduce; you don't get to choose where the fat comes off of. People lose it in their face, thighs, arms, legs, anywhere. Besides, your body needs 1000 or so calories a day just to function; once you start cutting calories below that, your body goes into "starvation mode" where your metabolism is slowed down and you start burning muscle, not fat.

P.S. if your desperate you could try a abdominal wrap or similar product that temporarily tightens your stomach area, though there aren't a lot of reviews as to just how safe/effective they are, so take it with a grain of salt.

Well, the most fat you can lose in a week is only one pound, so if you're looking to shed 5 pounds in two days I say that's impssible. You can, however, try losing water weight, prevent bloating (don't eat foods you know make you blow up) and if all else fails, try buying one of those tummy sucker-iners... you know, like the really long underwear that go from your bellybutton to your thighs... shapers! that's what they're called. They're like 10 bucks at wal-mart.

There is a seaweed wrap that you can have done in some salons/spas... they wrap the area you want done in it and let it set for a while. Then take it off and it literally takes inches off of that area! I did it before my wedding and I know a few girls who did it before vacation too. Something about it going through your skin to rid your body of toxins. Strange, I know... but it does work. Try calling a few day spas in your area, you might find one that has it!
