I'd never dream of physically stealing anything, but somehow running an illegal copy of a commercial program doesn't feel wrong, even though I know it should. How about you?

My copy of window's failed catastrophically, I needed to reinstall, but they would not let me use the same code number. Tech help was of no use. I had no qualms getting an illegal copy of it at that point. Bill Gates is rich enough as it is.

A lot of people don't feel bad about it because it is so easy. It is just as wrong as shoplifting or any other form of stealing. Don't kid yourself. Poeple come up with the craziest excuses, and none of them hold water.

yeah it's stealing and yeah I've done it but there's so much spyware and stuff these days it's just not the same as it used to be, besides which you can get pretty much anything for free these days if you look

my justification then and now was that I don't know too many poor programmers

I don't agree with copyright.
If that means Hollywood can't spend $100 Million making a movie, that's ok with me.
